Just like everything else in Japan, the cuisine is also meticulously cooked and feels like intricate artwork. Japanese food is famous for being subtle and full of flavour at the same time.
However, it is mainly a meat and seafood based cuisine and both vegans as well as vegetarians have found it tough to indulge in Japanese food with limited or no choices available in most traditional restaurants.
The good news though is that vegan restaurants have sprung up in various locations of Tokyo over the past few years. In fact, its popularity has been rising quite quickly giving rise to new vegan eateries opening all the time.
So, if you are a vegan but want to taste the wonderful cuisine of Japan, you can now do so quite easily in Tokyo.
